9 Months Old and Full of Tricks!

Nathan and Jordan are 9 months old today! They are both crawling everywhere so this primary colored monstrosity is now where my kitchen table use to be located. Nice, huh?! When you have to keep your eyes on two of them crawling really fast in opposite directions, this is what you have to resort to. Amber, get ready! The decor in your house might totally change in a few months. ;) Bethany and Zachary will be into everything before you know it!

And they LOVE to stand up in their bed and giggle after naptime. They don't share a bed anymore, but it is so sweet to put them in the same bed right after they wake up from nap.
Or, just chew on the rails of the crib!
At 9 months...
  • Jordan and Nathan are both crawling. But, Jordan is a little faster. :)
  • J and N both say buh, buh, buh...and da, da, da, da... and ma, ma, ma, ma.
  • Nathan is fascinated with his tongue.
  • Jordan gets a little bashful around new people or a crowd.
  • Nathan shows off around strangers and smiles so big at everyone right now.
  • Jordan can pull up on anything! He will be walking before we know it.
  • Nathan tries so hard to pull up, but he's just not quite strong enough yet.
  • J and N love their baby food, not such a fan of their bottles anymore (but I do make them drink it, too many nutrients that they need in that formula!)
  • J and N love to eat Gerber Puffs! It was so funny to watch them learn to pick those little things up and try to make it to their mouth. Now, they finally have the hang of it.
  • J and N fit perfectly in 6 - 12 month clothes and some of those are a little snug.
  • J and N love the nursery at church ( so far ). I am sure we will go through that separation anxiety phase, but we are not there yet.
  • J and N smile when they see Mimi, Grandad, Gram, PaPa, Aunt Emily, and Aunt Jenn.
  • And, their favorite song is the "Hot Dog" song from Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.

Happy Nine Months Boys! It's so fun to watch you grow!

And They're Off!

Nathan got a major head start, but that stubborn Jordan still pulled out a win!

video

Their personalities have been so opposite since the day they were born. CRAZY how the Lord forms and creates us with every detail in mind. We are born with special God-given personalities and gifts. It is our obligation and privilege to use those personalities and gifts to honor and glorify Him! I have seen that so clearly in these two little boys of ours. I am praying that Jordan's strength and energy and Nathan's compassion and gentleness will be such a vital part in their walk with Christ. Gives me goose-bumps. Isn't this a tiny picture of the Body of Christ?!

"It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ....speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into him who is the Head, that is, Christ. From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work" (Ephesians 4: 11- 16)

Much love,

Becca

"The Caped Crusaders"

Batman and Robin that is. Friday night we went to "Halloween on Main Street." Jordan was Robin and Nathan was Batman. Then, on Saturday night, we went to the Church Fall-A-Palooza. That night, Nathan was Robin and Jordan was Batman. Gotta keep it fair, ya'll.

Halloween on Main Street
(Not the most flattering pic of Jordy. so impossible to get them BOTH smiling at the same time!)

Prince Charming (Uncle Jay), Cinderella (Princess Vivi), and The Fairy Godmother (Aunt Jenn)

Cousin Luke (Is that not the cutest monkey ever?!)

Watch out! Pumpkin Bowling with the PGA Tours' Future Golfers (Bryce and Brayden)!

Look at those sweater vests...I could just eat them up!

Ladybug Peyton...have you ever seen such crystal blue eyes?!

Here we go again. Nathan, the paci-thief!

Jordan was a little sleepy.

Church Fall-A-Palooza

Batman and Robin with their Super-Girl, Anna Claire.

Yum! This cape tastes good!

Brayden and Bryce were so proud of their First Place Costume Contest Medal! They were so stinkin' cute in their Golfer-Get-Up!

Oooooh...anyone want a cupcake that Bryce won on the Cake Walk?! He was so proud of his cupcakes! Such a fun first Halloween for our boys!

Took My Punkins to the Punkin Patch!

We had the greatest time at the Pumpkin Patch last weekend! We went on Friday night with Jennifer and Vivi. Then, we went again on Saturday afternoon with Gram, PaPa, Aunt Emily, Brayden and Bryce. So fun! If you live around here, you have to visit Hall's Pumpkin Patch!

BROTHERS!
Our Little Family

Nathan and Jordan with Cousin Vivi. She really wanted to hold this pumpkin in the picture!

Curious little guys!
Gram and PaPa with all their grandbabies!

Cousin Brayden and Cousin Bryce
Could this stroller be any more gigantic?!
Everything is SOOOOOO funny!

Big Boys on the tractor.

Vivi and her colored popcorn! She loved it! - This stuff tasted like sticky Fruit Loops! Yuck.

This is the corn maze...so fun! Jenn and I thought it would be easy. But, we were totally wrong.
In the beginning, we let Vivi make the decisions about which way to go. You can see in this picture that she is telling us to go to the right. We quickly vetoed all of her suggestions after about 20 minutes of circles in the corn maze. We finally had to ask some teenagers how to get out of that thing! :)

We had a blast at the Pumpkin Patch...thanks to the Hall Family for sharing their farm with everyone!
Much love,
Becca

It's Fall on the Farm

Our cute Texas town has some old farmland that the city has revived and they hold "Fall on the Farm" for kids every year. There are hayrides, farm animals, cotton pickin', old tractors, hot dogs and games to entertain all the children. So fun!

Vivi, Jordan, and Nathan are ready for the fun! (Well, Nathan's not too sure that this is fun yet.)

The Hayride!
Vivi got to pet the little lamb. So sweet! We ran into some great friends at the farm. Ruby enjoyed petting the lamb too!
Vivi rode the horse like a princess. When she got off the horse, she said "Becca, I got to ride the horse. Her name was Cookie. She was just like Felipe in Beauty and the Beast!!" Yes, doesn't Cookie look just like Felipe? That Vivi lives in a princess make-believe world. I love it!

Princess Vivi thought this was really Wilbur from Charlotte's Web. So cute!
It was a fun morning on the farm! I just love this time of year!

A Preview of the Next 18 Years...

I can't believe we caught this on video. Totally cracks me up! Jordan has recently been given his paci back(if you remember that saga from when he was about 3 months old and not sleeping!) Now that he is mobile enough to find the paci in his bed when he wakes up at night, it is actually helping our sleeping situation. Anyway, my Nathan is a champion sleeper and has never been much into the paci. He just wants to take it away from brother and play with it like it's a toy. I'm sure this is just the beginning of our lessons on sharing.

Lots of Praises!

I am waiting patiently for lots of little blessings...

Baby Avery Pacheco (my newest niece, daughter to Bryan's sister, Emily)
Baby McCown
Baby Owen Lee Etter
Baby Girl Bantham
Baby LePori
Baby Coleman Burton
Babies Bethany and Zachary Rader
Baby Brenley Soto
Baby Fitzhugh
Baby Boy Clark
Baby Maisy Conner
Baby Hooton
Baby Aldridge

Oh, I just love little newborns! Praise the Lord for each of these precious miracles. I am so excited for each of them to make their grand entrance in the coming months! And, if you are waiting to get pregnant, I have to share a couple of my favorite promises from scripture.

"Early the next morning they arose and worshiped before the LORD and then went back to their home at Ramah. Elkanah lay with Hannah his wife, and the LORD remembered her. So in the course of time Hannah conceived and gave birth to a son. She named him Samuel, saying, "Because I asked the LORD for him."' 1 Samuel 1: 19-20

"So Boaz took Ruth and she became his wife. Then he went to her, and the LORD enabled her to conceive, and she gave birth to a son." Ruth 4:13

Keep praying, and the Lord will remember you. Keep praying, and the Lord will enable you to conceive. I have two special friends that I am praying for daily. I am praying for a "Yes" from the Lord. Oh, they are heavy on my heart tonight.

Much love,
Becca
