We took Carson to see his pulmonologist on Friday. It was an exciting appointment because we got the official green light to take Carson off of his oxygen! We also found out that he is finally on the growth chart. Carson's in the 5th percentile for his weight! It's so fun for Carson to be free of chords and tubes. He is still sleeping with the O2 monitor on his foot. We have to keep a close eye on his numbers. And we have the oxygen tank ready just in case he needs it. I don't have a picture of him yet without tubes. He still has his stickers on his face I'll get some good pics after his stickers fall off. We also took Carson to the cranial therapy place. After some evaluation, he will need to wear a doc-band (helmet). His ears are very asymmetrical. Poor little guy...graduates from one medical milestone and starts another. We'll go back in three weeks for the fitting and measurements. Then a week after that he'll get the doc-band. The 11 weeks he was in the same position in my belly did a number on his sweet head!
Here is my happy little guy at the dr office last Friday.

From a 4 year old's perspective...
Conversation between Jordan and Nathan...
Jordan: "Nathan, I wonder what we will look like when we grow up, I don't know. Do you?"
Nathan: "Yes I do Jordan. We will have beards and use real scissors."
Jordan: "Yeah, that sounds cool."

Uploaded these pictures 9 days ago...
Yep, you read it right. 9 days ago. And, I am just now sitting down to add words. Wouldn't trade this crazy life for anything. To add to our normally crazy days...we've sold our house, bought a new house, our washing machine broke, and we are trying to wrap up the last 3 1/2 weeks of school! Still wouldn't trade it for anything. Gram came to the rescue tonight when she offered to take our laundry home with her. Praise the Lord for grandparents!
These are a few of Jordan's latest drawings. He's a better artist than me and I'm 28 years older than him.
This one is Bryan on the left and Carson on the right. Notice Carson's oxygen tube and tank? So sweet. Jordy likes details.
Batman!
The Angry Birds' soccer season is over. Bryan called them "The Bad News Bears." Ha! They really were a little squirly! (Is squirly a real word? My spell-check can't find anything close to it.) Soccer might not be our favorite sport.
But these boys sure were proud of that trophy!
By the way, this is what happens if you leave your phone in the hands of Jordan...
He might even play a practical joke on you. This is such a proud moment for his Daddy and PaPa. I'm pretty sure playing tricks is in the Calvert boy genes!
Or he might just take a really close-up picture of your nose!
Last weekend Bryan and Grandad took the boys for a little fishing. I'm not too sure why they insisted on wearing their football jerseys from the dress-up bucket at MeMe's house to go fishing. Kids are so funny.
So PROUD!
Goodnight friends. Gotta rest up for another fun day with fifth graders tomorrow.
