First Day of School 2013

Nathan and Jordan have started their 4th year at Kids Day Out.  This will be their last year of preschool before kindergarten.  I can not believe it!  The boys were so excited about school starting and they have just had the best first week.  I just love this school to pieces.  They took such good care of my boys while I was in the hospital last year.  I knew the boys were getting extra hugs and special attention and extra patience...it was rough on all of us.  The boys were most excited that there is no rest time for the 4 Year Old classes!!  HA!!  I can not wait to see these boys learn and grow this year.

A little kiss from Tot...

So independent!!  Where did my babies go??

Jordan and Ms. Sheila -

I am so thankful for these ladies.  I know they have planned and prepared for the special days ahead with these munchkins!  I know they have big hearts and a love for teaching and learning.  I know they will lovingly correct Nathan and Jordan when they are wrong and I know they will encourage good choices.  And I know they will celebrate with Nathan and Jordan in the good times.  It's going to be a great year!

Play Ball!

Fact: These boys are growing WAY to fast! We've started another season of baseball after a not so successful soccer season. Jordan and Nathan made it very clear that they prefer baseball over soccer and that is just fine with us. They were pretty pumped to find out that their team name was the Sharks this year and equally excited to find out that I would be helping coach them. In fact, the first day we went out in the yard to practice Nathan kept referring to me as “coach”. The boys have been trying so hard to improve through the first few weeks of practice and couple of games. I've seen a lot of improvement and they seem to really enjoy it and have fun. They both played awesome the first two games, while at the same time providing some laughs. Jordan was able to play pitcher last game and field nearly every hit and even threw someone out at first base! Nathan was more than delighted to play catcher and wear all of the cool gear. I was in the outfield at the time but my guess is that Tot was pretending to be some type of Samurai warrior while he was back there! A few of the funnier moments so far have included both boys running with the bat all the way to first base, Nathan yelling out super hero tag lines while running the bases, and Jordan thinking that the opposing team is made up the same boys every week that simply get to change team names and uniforms (which he had an issue with!). Carson and Harper simply enjoyed being passed around between the grandparents during the first game.

Snapshots

Time to do a quick upload of pictures from my phone.  I just love the little snapshot treasures I find when I do this.

Sleepy Harper.

Toes-ies!

When Gram's your babysitter, you get to go to the aquarium!

How could I keep a straight face when the big boys came downstairs in this getup?!
