A Walk by the Lake

Fresh air is sooo good for our souls and also really good for wearing out children and dogs.

Quiet at Christmas

I snapped a picture of the tree finally finished.  I love the stillness while all the kiddos are sleeping.  It rejuvenates is for every morning.

My WHOLE Heart

Through several sets of circumstances, I ended up calling a friend to take our family pictures this year and I could not be happier with them.  Time, please stand still.  Nate and JP are 9, Carson and Harper are 5 in this picture.  What an honor and challenge it is to be their mom...and I would not trade it for anything!  They are full of personality, funny, energetic, hard working, and lovable.  My prayer is that the bond continues to strengthen and that they will always be the best of friends.

Calvert Thanksgiving

We always love time with our McKinney Fam from Houston!  Everyone wanted some Eli and Cal love!  These cousins had a super fun day together.  My favorite part was the jalapeƱo corn!

Santa Visit 2018

We had a special night after family pictures.  Since it was also our anniversary, we went to eat supper at MiCocina where Bryan and I had our first date over 16 years ago.  We also stopped to visit Santa in SL Town Square.

Nate told Santa he wanted a blue basketball.  JP told Santa he wanted catcher’s gear for baseball.  Harper told Santa she wanted a baby high chair and Hatchimals.  Carson told Santa to surprise him.

This was definitely the easiest Santa picture ever!

Main Street Christmas

MeMe and Grandad took the kids to Main Street to enjoy the Christmas festivities.  I say it every year but it sure is a privilege to live in the Christmas Capital of Texas!

Pretty sure the following picture is a scene re-enacted from The Grinch movie! Ha!  These kids crack me up!  Harper doesn’t look too happy about that idea.

She’s still causing trouble...

Bryan has threatened to give her away so many times!  Bless her heart.  She’s just a mischievous puppy!  This was from November and I can say that she is already growing up and maturing into a great family member.  We love her so much!

So far...She has...
Eaten the corner off the rug in the den
Chewed the stairs
Chewed corners of the wall
Chewed the kitchen table
Chewed the entertainment center
Stolen so many socks
Eaten Carson’s Eggo waffles right out of his hand
Stolen many paper plates of food
Stolen lots of napkins

Everyone told me I would love her much more when she was about a year old...I can see that.

A Season of Thanksgiving

Sibling Love

Jordan was a guest reader in Harper’s kindergarten class today. How special!  Thanks to Ms. Herreman for capturing this sweet moment.  Jordan was so excited to surprise Harper...he even carefully picked out a book from home to share.  Nate had the same opportunity to read to Carson’s room...wish I had a picture!

The Four Muskateers

These boys loved Friday night football games in the fall.  Can we praise Jesus altogether that they have the sweetest group of close friends?!  One game we totally caught them saying “hi” and waving to all the Emereld Belles that were walking up the stands after half time...so hysterical!

DYC Skate Party

Celebrating a fantastic season of Dragon Youth Cheer!  Harper loved her sweet new cheer friends and she was super proud of that pink star trophy.

Harper’s Christmas List

Stay little always!!

Only my kids...

...would come home from school and build candy catapults to launch their Halloween Candy.  They crack me up!

4th Grade Field Trip the The Zoo

Minnie’s Into Mischief

Turned my back for a second while I was doing laundry and Minnie was completely inside the dryer hunting for socks...whew!  She wears us out!

When you have 3 boys...

...it’s not so shocking when Carson brought home his paper from Sunday School and he has turned Jesus into Frankenstein.  Oh my Lordy.

Dragon Youth Cheer

Kindergarten is hard work!

I love seeing what’s happening at OUES through Twitter posts...such a neat peek into the kids’ day!

Kinder Projects

Halloween

...When Carson decided at the last minute to wear a taco costume from the closet instead of his awesome pirate costume...sometimes it’s best to say YES!  Ha!  He cracks us up!  He waddled around the neighborhood trick or treating with that big taco all the way down to his ankles.  Teehee!

It rained all day long so we were thrilled to have a break in the rain for some trick or treating.

Jordan’s Drawings

This is the result of Jordan watching a few YouTube videos...I don’t know how he does it!

Book Character Day

A pirate from “Pirates go to School,” a friend of Harry Potter, Theodore Roosevelt representing “Who Was Theodore Roosevelt?” and a sweet donut from, “If You Give a Dog a Donut.”  I love it when my kiddos’ different personalities shine!

Red Ribbon Week

Mix and Match Day!  Harper loves a reason to wear fun clothes, braided pigtails, and mixed up hair bows...so cute!

Hat Day! She wanted to borrow my pink hat because it matched her pink shirt...girls are so much fun!
