Spring Break 2011!!

I managed to have a complete computer free week (well, my iphone doesn't count does it?).  It was glorious!  Bryan and I got to spend every precious moment of our week off from school with our Nater-Tot and Jordy.  We took a road trip to Houston to visit Bryan's sister, Aunt Libby, and Uncle Brad.  We had a fabulous time.  The boys were awesome travelers.

Aunt Libby read stories at bedtime one night...what a special treat!

While Aunt Libby and Uncle Brad were at work on Friday, we ventured out to the Childrens' Museum of Houston.  The boys had a blast!  What a great place to learn and play!

A gigantic Lite Brite!

"Knock Knock!"

Going shopping! Jordan loved all these little bins of plastic veggies because he loves to sort and organize.  He is just a little like his Daddy.  :)

Boats!

"Get gas. Make the car go."  The boys love to point out gas stations as we drive around town now.  Or sometimes when we get in the car Jordan will ask, "get gas?"  Boys and their cars!

We made a short drive from Houston to Kemah. What a cute little bay-town!  It did take the whole "Nemo" movie to get there since the spring break traffic was so bad but we survived and had a fun dinner.

The boys loved watching for the real boats on the water.  The sun was about to go down so all the boats were coming in to dock for the day.  Perfect timing for two two-year-olds that were hungry for supper.

I was trying to get Nathan to smile for the camera so I asked him to show me his teeth.  He did. :)

Today we were quickly back into the swing of things.  Bryan has 3 track meets, grad school homework, and a sunday school lesson to plan this week.  I have clothes to iron, a house to clean, schoolwork to do, Open House at school this week, and the list goes on and on.  Hooray for Spring Break!  Our family needed it!  Now we can tackle the last 11 weeks of school before summer.

My Two Princes

Today was Prince and Princess Day at preschool.  I got these two text pictures from my sweet Mother-In-Law this morning before she carried these "Royal Messes" to school.  :)  I kind of messed up their outfit...It's a little tricky when I have to set their clothes out the previous night in their dark bedroom.  They have a red t-shirt underneath the navy t-shirt and I wasn't thinking about the navy t-shirt being on top and then running into the navy shorts!  HA!  At least they are only 2 so it wasn't too detrimental to their social life at school.  If they were 13 years old, it might have been a different story.

Gram said, "the boys were not in a picture taking mood."

Last night Bryan had a track meet so it was just the boys and me for supper.  While I was attempting to make a fancy PBJ for supper, the boys would not stop arguing over their Lego McQueen car (even though we have THREE McQueen cars.)  Thank goodness "tendency to not want to share" was on their list of appropriate developmental milestones for two year olds that we got from the pediatrician.  My boys must be right on track with that one!  So, I finally decided to distract them and ask for their help in preparing their sandwich.  They were tickled to make their own PBJ!

And yes, they still have on their pjs...that's the glorious thing about staying with their Gram all day.  :)

Ellen's sister, Megan, updated Ellen's blog after the surgery.  Please continue to keep them in your prayers.  I can not imagine having to walk through this journey.

Keep Praying...

Ellen will be undergoing fetal laser surgery today at 11:00am Central Standard Time.  Please lift her, her husband, and their two little unborn babies up in prayer today.  It's time for us to present our requests to the Lord.
