Christmas Morning

Christmas morning was so special with our boys this year! Santa made a visit!

Nathan and Jordan were checkin' out the new toys under the tree!
It's Mickey Mouse! How did Santa know that the "Hot Dog" song from Mickey Mouse Clubhouse is our favorite song?
Going for a ride in our new wagon!

I can not believe that Christmas has come and gone. My baby boys are growing up so fast. This morning at church, Jordan cried when we handed him over to the nursery workers. So sad! I'm sure this little separation anxiety phase won't last long, but it sure did break this Mama's heart. Tomorrow we will all be getting back into our routine and going to school. I am excited to see my 5th graders but I could just cry thinking about leaving my boys all day tomorrow. Thank goodness they get to go to Gram's house every day. I would be one big basket-case if that wasn't the situation. Okay. Enough of that. I hope all of you had a very merry Christmas and happy new year too!
Much love,
Becca

Christmas Eve Night

We always spend Christmas Eve Night at my mom and dad's house. Mama always cooks "little chickens" or cornish hens (did i spell that right?). They are so delicious! After that fabulous meal, Daddy makes fresh coffee to go with our dessert and we open presents. It's always a sweet evening with family. So fun to get together to celebrate Baby Jesus!
It snowed on Christmas Eve...I love this picture of the wreath on my front door!

This was Bryan's big project. Usually he makes a display of the cranberry sauce, but he stepped it up this year. He made a Rice Krispie castle for Vivi. She loved it! She ate the pink towers first.
Mama's pretty tree and presents
Jordan was checkin' out the presents.

Vivi liked to help Nathan open his presents. She's so sweet to my boys! Jenn gave Vivi 10- $1 bills to shop for 10 people at the dollar store this year. Vivi picked out a plastic pumpkin for Grandad, a bottle of lotion for MeMe, a flashlight for Uncle Bryan, and a dragon stamp for me. It really is one of my favorite gifts. That is really a gift from the heart! I just love that little girl!

Playing with Uncle Jason

New Cars!

And, a Mickey Mouse Fire Truck!!!!

WATCH OUT!

CRASH!

We gave Vivi a Cinderella microphone. She serenaded us with all of her princess songs! She knows every word of every princess song in every Disney movie...no kidding.

What a special evening with family! Thanks for all the memories, Mama and Daddy!
Much love,
Becca

Christmas Eve Morning

Our two little munchkins have made this Christmas so special. They are little blessings that I praise God for every day. Every year we eat breakfast and open presents at Bryan's parents' house on Christmas Eve morning. It is a super fun tradition! And the best part of the tradition is that everyone wears PJs.

Gram, Aunt Libby, and Bear welcomed Nathan and Jordan with some Christmas hugs.
Nathan and Jordan enjoyed some good ol' Cheerios for their breakfast. Cheerios are a major favorite at our house right now.

Emily, me, Libby, and Morgan waiting in line for the yummy breakfast. (Doesn't Bryan have the prettiest sisters?!) Just a few short weeks til Baby Avery gets to join us girls!

Our attempt to get a picture of the four grandbabies in front of the tree. Nathan is LOVING the attention and Jordan thinks it is absolute torture. Brayden and Bryce were just ready to open presents!

Then...it was time for presents! Nathan and Jordan got lots of fun new toys.

Brayden and Bryce were so excited about their new tools "just like PaPa's tools."
We had a wonderful time celebrating Christmas with family that morning. The presents were just a very small part of the joy we celebrate during this season. The joy of knowing Christ was born! That is true joy.
Much love,
Becca

The BIG Calvert Christmas

Every year on December 23rd, all the Calverts (Bryan's dad's family) gather together at Aunt Mary's house to celebrate Christmas together. We always have a great time, get to enjoy a fun gift exchange, and have great food too!
Bryan's Calvert cousins and their spouses
Aunt Libby and Nathan - We were just tickled to have Libby and Brad in town for a couple days. We miss them like crazy!
Aunt Emily and Aunt Morgan with Nathan - You will see more pics of Nathan at the Christmas parties...don't worry...no favorites. BUT, Nathan has become quite the party animal while Jordan would rather be snuggled and asleep with his Mama, Gram, or MeMe. :)
Morgan was a superstar "American Idol" contestant!
Yes, here is my snuggly baby asleep in my arms at the Christmas party. Sweet Jordy!
Libby and Brad with Bentley - These lovebirds will be getting married in just a few short weeks!
Nathan with Gram - looks like he was pickin' at Brad too. Good. Pick at Brad all you want to, Nathan. He stole my "Half Price Books" gift card during the gift exchange. I'm not still bitter. :)
Oh, and this is Brayden's reaction as he opened his gift and realized it was a book. All he said as he opened it was, "No book, No book, NO book, NO BOOK!" Awesome.
Aunt Janis opened Bryan's gift...a Snuggie...and she was so excited! HA! I secretly kind of wanted it myself. I mean, it sure would be nice to have right now while I am sitting in my chair working on my laptop. Right?! A blanket with arms? GENIUS!
It was a fun night to begin our Christmas celebrations. More Christmas posts to come...

The Presents are wrapped...

This little house is ready for Christmas! What a precious time of year to gather with friends and family to celebrate the birth of our Savior!

Before all of our Christmas festivities begin tomorrow, we had to squeeze in a very special celebration of my new niece on the way! Bryan's sister, Emily, is having a baby girl. :) Bryan's aunt, Mary, and I planned a small baby shower in honor of Baby Avery. She should be making her big debut on January 22. I could not be more excited to have another niece!

Aunt Mary, Emily, Me

Tonight Bryan and I took the boys up to Main Street to see the big light show. The pictures do not do it justice. The lights are timed to music and it is quite entertaining! The boys were mesmerized by all the lights. :)

I finally finished tying all the bows on the gifts tonight! YAY! I got this awesome black and white wrapping paper from Hobby Lobby this year...isn't it so cool?

And I have to share a few of my favorite new ornaments on the tree...
Bryan's Mom got us this one. Our little family!
My mom bought these for the boys' first Christmas.

And, my Mom gave the boys these Noah's Ark ornaments on their Baby Dedication Day. So special. We are ready to make more "fun-family-Christmas-memories" this year! Can't wait for the fun to begin at Aunt Mary's house tomorrow night!

Boys Brave their First Haircut

A few weeks ago, the boys' hair began to grow wings just above their ears. And, it slowly got worse and worse and worse. So, I finally called my good friend and my hair stylist, Jordin, to make an appointment to trim the boys' hair. I was SHOCKED at how brave they were. Jordan and Nathan both sat so still while Jordin trimmed away. Nathan even gave Jordin big hugs while we were there!

Side Note: Tomorrow we are taking Nathan back to the Ophthalmologist for Dr. B to check out his tear ducts again. His left eye is still tearing pretty badly and this is after two probings and one tear duct surgery. UGH! We are frustrated. We are hoping Dr. B has a plan of action or some encouraging words for us tomorrow.

Happy Birthday Princess Vivi!

Vivi's third birthday party was full of Princess Fun! (of course!) Jenn had arranged for all of us to go see "The Princess and The Frog" together that afternoon and then enjoy pizza, presents, and cake afterwards. Vivi and her little friends went to the movie in style. Vivi wore her Cinderella dress, tiarra, and glitter (glass) slippers in honor of the new Princess Tiana. So cute!

Blowing out the candles on her castle cake!

Opening presents!
Nathan trying to be a part of all the "big kid fun."
Jordan entertained himself with his shoes and a spoon for a good 45 minutes. :)
Happy Birthday to my Princess Vivi! We had a great time celebrating you!
