Nathan and Jordan are SIX!

Well, yes, all four kids have birthdays within 7 days of each other.  I guess the Lord just thought that would be so hysterical!  Whew!  It's a birthday beating for Mom and Dad but loads and loads of fun!!

We started the birthday morning with the Red Special Plates and confetti on the table.  (Nathan's eyes were closed in every picture by the way.)  And, we surprised the boys with tickets to Medieval Times!  They weren't too excited about that until we showed them some videos from Youtube.  Then they were pumped!

After breakfast, we headed out for the boys basketball game.  They have LOVED basketball season...had a great coach, sweet team...we love Upward sports.

Just a little brotherly love...

The best entertainment at the kindergarten basketball game is the bench.  The boys put on a great show that day.  Lordy.

Seriously?...

Later that afternoon, we celebrated the boys birthday with friends and cousins at the local trampoline park.

DODGEBALL!  And, even better than dodgeball, is DODGEBALL ON A TRAMPOLINE!

Buddies!

Carson thought this trampoline park idea was brilliant.  I've mentioned before that he thinks he's 6 years old.  He ran around and jumped for two straight hours.

Harper watched for a while and finally decided she'd try it out.

More buddies!

Cookie cake!

Too much fun!

After a fun party, the boys couldn't get home fast enough to open their gifts.  They LOVED every single one.  What a special day for two very special boys!

Carson and Harper are TWO!

Hard to believe that Carson and Harper are two years old now.

Found this on their school door...

Carson talks a lot.  He LOVES to read books, play kitchen, hit the ball off a tee, play outside, watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, and wrestle with Daddy and brothers.  He thinks he is 6 years old and can do anything the big boys do.  While Carson is in the 10th %tile for his age, the Lord gave this boy a strong spirit and we see that strong spirit in everything that he does.  He's a fighter.  We just battled another cold/virus/cough/ear infection spell with Carson.  His O2 levels dipping into the 80s sure do make us nervous.  Thankfully, he never stayed there and we were spared a trip to the hospital.  While his strong spirit has its advantages, he's also a biter right now.  Yep.  A biter.  He bites Harper, he bit a sweet girl in Sunday School, he's bitten me, and Gram.  Ugh.  We are so frustrated about it...doing our best to discipline for the behavior.  Really praying he'll grow out of it soon!!!  Carson has the best laugh and I love the way he says, "tickle."  He loves Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and he calls Mickey, "Hot Dog."  So cute.  He thinks a camel says, "Huuuuummmmmmp Daaaaaaayyy." - thanks to his Daddy reading his bedtime stores  and he will argue if you call a picture of a female lion just a lion.  She is a "Mama Lion."  Can you say OCD?!  HA!

Harper is a happy girl!  She's the easiest baby and has such a nurturing heart.  She loves to take care of others and bring you what she thinks you need.  Carson is not such a fan...he doesn't always appreciate it when Harper brings his drink, his blanket, his snack, or his toy.  She will even walk up behind Carson and peek down his diaper to see if he's stinky.  Not even kidding.  Harper loves Minnie Mouse and she's beginning to recognize the Disney princesses.  She doesn't say a whole lot yet,  We get so excited when she says a new word and then we joke...she'll probably be talking 90 miles an hour when she's about 12 years old, and we'll say, "remember when we wished she would talk!!"  HA!  Harper's newest trick is taking her pajamas off after she's in bed.  If it wasn't 28 degrees outside this week, we would probably just put her to bed in her diaper.  Little stinker.  Harper loves pink and purple.  In fact, she fusses at Carson when he tries to use her pink and purple markers.  She pretty much refuses to use any other color of kid-plasticware at the supper table too.  Harper thinks anything pink and purple totally belongs to her.  She'll even fuss at me if I wash her with a blue washcloth at bathtime!!  I think we have created a monster that thinks she's a princess!!!

We celebrated their birthday with a Farm-themed party.  It was loads of fun!  I teased that we picked the farm theme because Harper finally neighed for a horse sound!  HA!  Bless her.

This is Harper showing the camera how old she is...she's pretty close.  2....10?...it's about the same.

Gifts!

Carson sure does enjoy playing with the hair straightener and hair dryer.  So funny!

Harper does too...

Carson tried so hard to brush Daddy's hair.  HA!

Harper sure did LOVE her Minnie Mouse card that Vivi drew for her.

Still can't believe they're two.  I'm praying they grow to be the best of friends and have a deep personal passion for the Lord.
