Jordan Gets Tickled!

Daddy can always make Jordan cackle! We haven't been able to capture Nathan's big laugh on video yet. But, we are working on it!

Happy Father's Day Bryan!

You are the greatest Daddy ever because...
  • You never hesitate to make bottles or change diapers (even the stinky ones...although you may gag and make awful noises as you do it...you change the diapers anyway.)

  • You know exactly how to make Nathan and Jordan giggle.

  • You have built a household where the Lord comes first.

  • You never run out of energy to play with "Jordy" and "Nate-Dawg."

  • Nathan and Jordan love to take naps on your chest.
  • You sing silly songs during Nathan and Jordan's bath time.

  • You are a strong example for Nathan and Jordan.

  • You make many runs to Target for formula, diapers, pacis, and more.

  • You read books to the boys and teach them lots of new things.

  • You love your boys like crazy!

Bryan, we are very thankful for you! And, it is super fun to celebrate YOU on this Father's Day Weekend.

Much love,

Becca

My Georgia Family

We have made it back home from our first plane trip with the boys. Nathan and Jordan were fantastic little travelers! We had a wonderful time visiting family in Georgia. It is very cool that Jordan and Nathan got to meet all four of their Great Grandparents from the Beam and Fuller side of our family. How special!! And, you see...we only have to make the trip to one little bitty town in rural Georgia to see them all! My parents met in second grade and are from the same small town. My grandparents attend the same church and live only about 5 minutes apart. :)

My Beam Family

Nathan, Vivi, and Jordan with their Great Grandparents...We had biscuits, cheese grits, bacon and sausage for breakfast while we stayed with Memom and Grandaddy. It was the perfect country breakfast. We were so spoiled!

While we were in town, we celebrated Memom and Grandaddy's 60th Wedding Anniversary and Memom's 80th birthday. Memom is singing "I'll Fly Away" for the big crowd with my cousin's boyfriend's band. It was a country-good -time! Memom knows how to praise the Lord!

And here is the happy couple dancin' to the music! After 60 years, they are still lovebirds!

Memom was just tickled to feed Jordan his bottle.

Nathan put on a show for my Uncle Larry! They just talked and talked and talked!

Grandaddy loves to rock the babies.

My Fuller Family

Jenn, Me, Bryan, Nathan, Jordan, and Vivi with my grandparents. Nathan was trying to escape during this picture!

Vivi, Rylan, and Evan showing off their watermelon at Aunt Laura's house. Oh, I have so many memories of eating watermelon in the carport at my grandparents' house.

Here is our little family sitting in the swing on my Aunt Laura's porch. This is seriously one of the most relaxing places in the world. Aunt Laura and Uncle Tommy have a beautiful house with a beautiful back porch that overlooks their swimming pool and the woods behind it...very different from the highways and airports surrounding our neighborhood!

The whole fam (minus Jason...he wasn't able to join us because he had to work...stupid work.)

Nathan chattering away with Uncle Jon and Memom

Nathan and Jordan's first time to go swimming! I just love their flower swimsuits and sun hats. And, I could just pinch and kiss those belly rolls! Gosh, my skin looks white next to my sister's skin! I better get to workin' on that tan.

And, this is the perfect picture to wrap up our trip. We were all so tired! Vivi fell asleep like this on the way back to the airport...smelling the perfect corner of her pink blanket. We are glad to be home. Laundry is done. Suitcases are unpacked. Whew!

He did it!

My Jordy actually slept through the night two nights in a row...praying for many more to come and hoping we don't have to go through that again! After getting a TON of suggestions from a lot of people and trying everything I could think of to get him to sleep through the night again, Jennifer checked out a book from her pediatrician's office for us. "How to Solve Your Child's Sleep Problems" by Dr. Ferber seriously saved our sleep deprived lives! Apparently Jordan is the child that can not go to bed with his paci in his mouth because if he wakes up and it is not in his mouth, he will go bananas. However, Nathan, could care less if he wakes up with no paci in his mouth. HA! Another little stage with my boys to prove that twins can be so different! Nathan and Jordan could not be more like night and day. That book is full of great information if you have kids at any age that have trouble sleeping.

We are getting ready for our trip to visit family in Georgia on Thursday. This will be the first plane ride for the boys. I'm already breaking out in a sweat. What if they just cry the whole plane ride?! Surely not. Oh gosh, I'm getting nervous. Let's change the subject.

This is my very first official day of summer and I could not be more excited to stay home all day with my boys. What a treat! We have played and talked a lot this morning. So fun!

Oh, wait. Let me leave you with this hilarious picture of Brayden and Bryce. They have climbed on their "play kitchen" before but now it is officially a climbing gym. These boys crack me up!

And, doesn't this look like so much fun?! This is Vivi's new outdoor water toy at my Mom and Dad's house. The water actually pumps from the sink to the faucet and back to the sink. So cool!

Happy Summer Everyone!
Much love,
Becca

My Three Boys

Bryan celebrated his 31st birthday yesterday! We actually celebrated all weekend with supper at Mom's Saturday night and lunch at Emily's on Sunday. We had a great time and at each meal, we had Bryan's favorite dessert....Rice Krispy Treats! Yum!! Happy Birthday Hubby!

Jordan and Nathan had their 4 month wellness check-up today. Jordan weighs 15 pounds and Nathan weighs 14 pounds! My little bitty babies are not so little bitty anymore. They are oohing, and cooing, and they have just gotten interested in all their toys. Jordan has given us a run for our first-time-parenting-skills lately. Jordan and Nathan have both slept all through the night since they were 8 weeks old and all of a sudden, Jordan decided to wake up at about 3:00 every morning. We are a seriously tired Mommy and Daddy these days! Add that on top of our last week of school and it becomes exhaustion. Oh, we are counting down the days til summer...3 to go!

Nathan loves Mr. Giraffe!

Jordan loves Mr.Moose!

P.S. - If you read this before about 11:30 on Wednesday morning, think about the 5th grade teachers at my school. Tomorrow (Wed) is the "Ketchup War." Yes, it is what you are picturing. 300 fifth graders armed with ketchup bottles to reinact the Civil War. Thank goodness I don't teach Social Studies...so I just have to watch and make sure none of the kids go too bonkers. Oh, and the nasty smell of the ketchup war, it is sick. BUT, the kids LOVE it! Isn't that what counts?!

Hey Brother!

Last night, Jordan and Nathan were playing on a blanket in their p.j.'s and they suddenly started "talking" to each other. It was so sweet! I was lucky to catch part of the "conversation" on my camera.
