Never a Dull Moment...

Sweet Carson got his doc-band, better known as a helmet, a couple days ago.  He hardly even acts like he has something on his head.  Kids are so resilient.  Bryan and I could not have decorated that cute little helmet fast enough.  If he has to wear a helmet, it has to be cool, right?!  So we ordered some Baylor decals thanks to blingyourband.com.  Sic 'em Carson!!

That same afternoon, I took Carson to see his pediatrician because he had been wheezing and coughing quite a bit.  Dr.Scott didn't like what he heard.  He immediately gave Carson a breathing treatment in the office.

Afterwards, he felt so much better that he zonked out on the way home.

Now we are doing breathing treatments 4 times a day.  Sweet boy.

The babies are getting so playful, ticklish, flirty, and bashful!  So cute!  I could just eat them up!

Little Harper Beth is such a joy!  We just get a kick out of her sweet demeanor and giggly spirit.

The babies have started coohing to each other...a little twinsie-love.  :)

N and J have been soaking up "Grandad-Day-Camp" each day.  They run all of Grandad's errands with him, swim, make multiple trips to the park, the church indoor playground, lots of rides to CostCo, some ice cream stops, and anything else my dad can dream up to entertain these two rascals!

I tagged along for the visit to Bass Pro Shop...

And I had to sneak in this super sweet picture of Jordan loving on Carson...melts my heart.

To wrap up, let me recap our Wednesday night.  I was giving Carson a bath and I was about to switch out with Harper.  All of a sudden I heard a loud bang and lots of screaming.  Bryan and I ran to the back bedroom to find Nathan's mouth full of blood.  We freaked out of course.  You couldn't even tell where the blood was coming from.  Bryan ran into the bathroom with him and turned on the sink.  Then realized he needed to ice it so he ran him into the kitchen.  All the while, Jordan is crying because he pushed Nathan into the bed in the first place.  Ugh.  Brothers!  The babies were crying at this point too because they were hungry and ready for bed.  Carson was due for a breathing treatment too. I walked to the bathroom to give Harper a bath and stepped into an inch of water.  The sink was totally overflowing!!!  What a mess!  It was one of the most disastrous nights we have ever had as parents.  Thank goodness a new day means new blessings!  We've had good laughs today and the boys have had good conversations about forgiveness.

We've had a lot of busted lips in the last 4 1/2 years, but this one is by far the biggest!  The picture doesn't do it justice.

Just for kicks...Jordan's prayer at lunch today: "Dear God, could you please tell Santa Claus to get me a Spider Man movie for Christmas?"  Hmmm...we've been working on thanking God for something first and then praying for others.  Obviously we need to talk about it some more.  And isn't it hysterical that Jordy thinks Santa Claus and God are BFF?!  How cute.

Father's Day

"He who pursues righteousness and loyalty

Finds life, righteousness and honor."
Proverbs 21:21

"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not tremble or be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
Joshua 1:9

I was reminded of these two scriptures through the sermon at church this morning.  I think about what I desire for my boys in their life.  I want for these scriptures to be marked on their heart and evident in their lives.  And, I think about their Daddy on Father's Day today.  What a man of honor!  He pursues righteousness, not that he is always right, ha!  But, that he desires to make good choices, that he acts on conviction, that he leads our family, that he teaches our kids, that he loves others, that he keeps us laughing and I could go on and on.  So Happy Father's Day to Bryan!  It is an honor to celebrate you today!

Happy Father's Day to PaPa!

Happy Father's Day to my Daddy (Grandad)!

I'm so happy that my kids have such great men in their lives.

We went to church this morning and spent the rest of the afternoon in the pool!  Such a fun day!

I just love this little pudgy muffin!  It's just you and me, Harper.  We are surrounded by all these boys that think farting is funny, dirty clothes belong on the floor, and snakes are cool.  Let's stick together my dear.  ;)

Legoland Surprise!

Bryan and I wanted to treat the big boys to something fun and special just for them.  The babies have totally dominated our lives for several months now...and it was time to give the big brothers some special attention.  So, we sent the babies over to Gram's house and took the boys to Legoland!  They didn't know where we were going until we pulled up in the parking lot.  They were super excited!

Legoland had a super Star Wars exhibit right now.  That just thrilled these two boys!

They got to drive cars for the first time. N and J both had a little trouble pushing the gas and steering the wheel at the same time.  It was kind of funny.  But, they thought they were big stuff!

 Riding rides!

Building and racing Lego cars...

Lego towers...

That night, Nathan was saying his bedtime prayer, "God, thank you for the beautiful day in my heart.  Thank you for Legoland.  And, I pray my Daddy gets some hair.  He doesn't have any hair and he can't spike it."  HA!

Summer!!

I LOVE summer!!  I get to spend the whole day with my four babies all summer long.  I don't take a second of it for granted...that's one good thing about being a working mom.  I sure do soak in every little moment with my kids.

Moments like flying kites with Grandad at the park...

Having a picnic in the park with MeMe and Grandad...
Playing toys in the floor...

We are living with my parents right now while we are getting some work done on the new house.  Our life is just a tad bit chaotic right now.  Nathan's been watching a lot of VeggieTales lately and he keeps walking around shouting "Trust in God!!"  I love this little reminder from a genuine heart full of child-like faith.

Carson goes to his Pulmonologist tomorrow morning.  I'm really praying for another good report.  He's such a trooper.  He hasn't been eating well lately and it's making me a nervous wreck.  I'm thankful for good doctors that are working with us to figure out and solve this issue.  Please pray for healing so Carson can enjoy his bottle like a baby is suppose to!  He got fitted for his doc-band (helmet) last Tuesday.  He'll get the helmet this coming Tuesday.  Sweet little guy.  He's my buddy.

Harper is doing great!  She loves her bottle and she loves attention!

Both babies have the cutest coos and smiles.  They can totally melt my heart!!  Now, I am going to throw away the bag of Doritos I just finished off... How will I ever lose these last 6 post baby weight pounds ?!  And I'm so tired my fingers don't work well to type this. Goodnight.  This mama needs some rest.

Nathan

I had to keep it fair so I dropped Jordan off and picked up Nathan for some quality time. Of course I had to convince him that he could finish the episode of Scooby-doo he was watching when we returned before I could get him out the door. Nathan is the happiest, most easy going kid I know. He has great manners, is full of compliments, and loves to hug everyone! Everyday when I get home he tells me he likes my bow tie and even though I don't own a bow tie, nor ever will, it's too cute to correct. We started our afternoon out by stopping by a local store to check out a racecar, which Nathan thought was awesome and even high-fived all of the workers and told them "that's great!" when informed that their car had won the night before.
Then off to the mall to pick up a few things. Nathan only likes to look at toys and can spend the better part of an hour telling you about every single item in the store.

Topped the day off with a cookie and a few sips of my coke which he thought was great and then informed me that he was going to tell mom that he drank coke and I was going to be in big trouble. He did tell Becca about the coke and then enjoyed her reaction so much that he added that I ran away and left him in the store! What a nut. Probably the sugar and caffeine :)

Jordan

Sometimes one of the best parts of having four kids is getting to hang out with just one of them! They should put that on my Father-of-the-Year award! Hanging with Jordan today....he's a funny kid to say the least. He thinks his sister's nickname should be "worm" because "she wiggles a lot". He likes baseball more than soccer. At lunch he expressed his concern about what Nathan would eat since he wasn't with us. He wants me to send Becca a "tricky" text message. And this morning he drew an awesome picture of "Jesus in his heart". Love this kid. I have to get him home soon because Nathan needs his hang out time with dad as well.
And he loves his family....
