Just a Thursday Night

Bryan had to work late and we didn't have school on Friday so I took these little Yoohoos to get some yogurt!  These faces are my world.

OUES Field Day

Always fun to sneak away for a bit and catch these big kids having fun!!

Nate loved watching himself boogie on the jumbo screen! Ha!

Love Kids. Love their Parents. Love Math.

I was completely humbled on Wednesday afternoon to find out that I was named Carroll ISD Teacher of the Year.  I am only blogging this to save the memory.  I hope that in my 14 years, I've inspired just a few kids to work hard and love math.  I also need to apoligize to the students I taught my first 5 years of teaching...oh did I have a lot to learn or what?!  Bless them.  By having my own 4 kiddos, I have embraced the fact that each of the kids in my classroom is someone else's baby.  And that is a really big deal.  I have learned to laugh more, hug a lot, encourage, notice little things, be understanding, build relationships with their parents...I could go on and on.  I am thankful for this opportunity and humbled by this honor.  I work with amazing teachers every day that would each also deserve this honor.

Classroom Campout Day

Nate and JP were so excited for Classroom Campout Day!  They got a care package from Mom and Dad, packed their flashlight and stuffed animals...so fun!  Nate packed a head lamp instead of a flash light! Ha! He cracks me up.  They had the best time!  They came home so tickled that Mrs.Duff and Mrs.Alonzo made s'more trail mix for the kids.  What a blessing it is to have creative teachers that make the last couple of weeks of school totally fun!

Pinkalicious

Harper LOVES "Purplicious" and "Goldilicious!"  Those are two of her most favorite stories right now.  Every time we read "Purplicious" she says, "I wish I could be in that story.  I would be friends with Pinkalicious." Melts my heart every time!  When the senior high announced that Pinkalicious would be the musical of the spring, I bought tickets and made plans to take Harper. It was a darling show.  I was so impressed!  So fun to see a couple of former students up on stage too!

At the end of the show, Harper said, "That was so awesome!!"

What a great girls night to celebrate our favorite color, PINK!

MooseAMuffin

We have a little moose beanie baby that Carson has named "MooseAMuffin."  And that totally cracks me up.  Carson didn't want to sleep with MooseAMuffin the other night so Harper quickly snagged him up to snuggle for the night.

Any guesses how MooseAMuffin got his name??

...One of Carson's regular night-time requests.  So funny!
